For over two decades, we have been devoted to serving the underprivileged and those most in need, especially individuals struggling with visual impairments. Our journey is marked by steadfast commitment and relentless perseverance, fueled by a vision to transform lives through sight restoration service provision.
What may seem like a mere drop in the ocean has actually created waves of profound change. We have provided critical eye care services to over 100,000 patients, and performed sight-saving anterior and posterior segment surgeries for more than 20,000 individuals. Our impact extends beyond surgeries; we have supplied millions of rupees worth of spectacles, medications, and performing specialized therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.
Our mission is not just about numbers; it's about the lives we touch and the light we restore. Each patient we help, each surgery we perform, brings us one step closer to a future where no one remains in the darkness of preventable blindness.
Our commitment is to a world where sight is not a luxury but a right for all, and we invite you to join us in this transformative journey. Together, we can ensure that no one is left behind, and everyone can see the beauty of life.
We are excited to announce a formal launch of our ambitious School Healthcare Program, conducting a number of pilots programs and test drives. Its a cornerstone of our community outreach initiatives aimed at enhancing the vision and overall well-being of school children. This comprehensive program is designed to address the unique healthcare challenges faced by children in low-income areas, such as those in Pakistan, through a strategic and incremental approach.
Looking ahead, we are already preparing to expand our services to include ear and hearing care, addressing another critical aspect of children’s health and an assessment survey of school buildings to identify barriers. Our vision is to create a holistic healthcare model that gradually encompasses all facets of community health, providing sustainable and impactful solutions.
With each step, we are driven by the commitment to create lasting change and empower communities through better health. By focusing on these foundational aspects of children's well-being, we aim to pave the way for a brighter, healthier future for all.
To achieve successful community outreach, the availability of well-trained and skilled personnel is essential and perhaps of paramount importance. We proudly offer a comprehensive one-year internship program designed to enhance, elevate, and perfect the clinical skills of optometry graduates. This program equips them with the necessary expertise to deliver critical Primary Eye Healthcare services in the communities of underdeveloped and underserved segments.
This initiative is fully sponsored, meaning there are no fees for participants. Instead, we provide a competitive stipend, ensuring that our interns are supported financially while they gain invaluable experience and contribute to the well-being of those in need.
In Pakistan, the need for comprehensive disability management is immense, as it remains largely unmet and the community in general remains un/under served. Current efforts by Government agencies, NGOs and international NGOs are often fragmented and insufficient to address the scale of the issue effectively.
Vision Trust is committed to bridging this gap. We are excited to announce plans to establish a state-of-the-art disability management centre on an 18-acre plot generously donated by Justice (R) Mushir Alam. Located in the serene sub-district of Pindi Gheb, in Attock District, Punjab, this centre will provide a holistic approach to disability management, in a Community Based Inclusive Development (CBID) setting a new standard in care and support for underserved communities.
